Skyler James

Skyler grew up dancing at studios throughout Bergen County and, during her senior year of high school, was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Professional School Division at Steps on Broadway. While at Steps, Skyler had amazing opportunities to perform at professional venues such as the Joyce Theater and Lincoln Center.

During her time at Hartt, Skyler performed a diverse range of repertoire, from Bournonville ballets to works by Martha Graham, further developing her artistry and versatility as a dancer. As a Ballet Pedagogy student, she interned with Hartt's Community Dance Division, where she taught ballet to students of varying ages and levels.

Since graduating, Skyler has continued to share her passion for dance through teaching at various summer intensive programs. She is thrilled to join the RDA faculty this season and looks forward to working with the next generation of dancers!
